How can I transfer or compress a wmv movie?

Ok I used my Microsoft Webcam to record a video that I wanted to send to my brother. I cant send it through my email it says its too big. So how can I covert it or compress it to a smaller type of file, so I can actually send it?

You would have to split the file into multiple pieces.
You can’t compress movies much because they are already compressed, although some compression software can split the file into multiple pieces.

use something like http://www.media-convert.com it’s very useful in converting media online

there’s no point in compressing it as a wmv file is already in a compressed format – upload it to a free service such as senduit (100mb limit), sendspace (300mb) or File dropper (5000mb) – all free. Send the link to your brother so he can download the file – that way you don’t tie up your email server or clog his inbox
