what is the difference between a 3 cell and 6 cell batteries?

I was looking at buying a netbook computer they have one for 9 for a 3 cell battery and 4 for a 6 cell battery should I pay 45 dollars more for a 6 cell is it worth it?

6 Cells batteries tend to be larger but it’ll give you twice the operating time whilst running on battery power.
On mine, a 3 cell would probably last around 3 hours whereas a 6 cell would last from 5hours 30 to 6 hours 30.
So, if you plan on using it on battery power for long periods of time, get the 6 cell, if you’re going to be using it plugged in mostly just get the 3 cell.

Three cells!
The 6 cell battery will give you more/longer power than the 3 cell. It will drain down slower than the 3 cell.
For the extra, go with the 6.

the number of cells is related to the battery chemistry. If in doubt or unsure then go with the computers battery. They are usually best suited and surprisingly durable. $299.00 sounds like a lot for either one — have you researched on the web ? how about Batteries America or some such?
